About Margaret Trail

Following records shared by George Arthur Trail IV.

Margaret Mullican's birth was recorded in 1728 at Prince George's County by her father William Mullican and his wife Margaret Turner. At about the age of 16 she married David Trail Jr.(1712-1781) when David Trail Jr. bought "Good Will" from his father. At over 60 years of age the widowed Margaret Mullican Trail travelled the Great Wagon Road to South Carolina with her children and grandchildren.

One of the most telling pieces of evidence showing Margaret Mullican married David Trail Jr. is when John Mullican died at Montgomery County Maryland in 1778. His widow Ann Northcraft Mullican was executix of his estate and she appointed her brother's in law Francis Cullom who married her sister Susanna Northcraft and David Trail who married the sister of husband John Mullican, Margaret Mullican, as Securities to the estate.
