8 July 1483: Instrument of sasine which confirms possession of the lands of Mawis and Peddrey to Gilbert Ramsay and his wife Margaret Ogilvy. Gilbert Ramsay is identified as the son and apparent heir Alexander Ramsay, who is identified as the son and heir of Finlay Ramsay. Margaret Ogilvy is identified as the daughter of Sir James Ogilvy of Airlie. Her brother Thomas Ogilvy acted as bailie and gave sasine to Gilbert and Margaret, and her brothers Archibald Ogilvy and John Ogilvy were the witnesses present. Bamff Charters: charter number 15
