About Margaret Jefferson Petty

The Petty Family Photo was found on Find A Grave.com. The writing on the photo indicates that the people pictured are left to right, Margaret (?), Allerne, (probably Keziah Albine Petty), Margaret Jefferson Petty, (the mother), Pryann, Louisa Minerva, and Caroline. The men's names are not identified on this photo, but elsewhere they were identified as Lewis James Petty on the left and Robert Thomas Petty on the right. This photo was probably taken around 1889, since the mother, Margaret Jefrferson Wells Petty, passed away January 20, 1890.

The oldest daughter was Mary Priannah Petty, born in 1833. She is identified as the second woman from the right in the front row. The next was Keziah Albine, and her twin sister, born in 1835, Martha Narcissa in 1837, Louisa Minerva in 1839, Robert in 1841, Lewis in 1845, and Margaret Jefferson Petty Davenport, 1849. According to Find A Grave.com, another daughter, Sarah Abigail Petty Cherry was born in 1851, but does not seem to be pictured in the above photo.

Martha Narcissa seems to actually be the woman on the far left seated, and behind her is Margaret Jefferson Petty, who is standing next to her brother Lewis.
