25 July 1468: Charter by which James III, King of Scots, confirms that he has given the lands of Cranstoune-Redale in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh to PATRICIO DE CREICHTOUN son and heir of his familiar squire or yeoman, DAVID de C. The lands of Cranstoune-Redale had previously been resigned by DAVID CREICHTOUN, who reserved his own liferent and the terce of his wife MERGARETE SCHAW. RMS, 1424-1513: 956

25 July 1468: Charter by which James III, King of Scots, confirms that he has given certain husbandlands and the cottages of Cranstoune-Redale in the sheriffdom of Edinburgh to his familiar squire or yeoman DAVID DE CREICHTOUNE DE CRANSTOUNE-REDALE and MERGARETE SCHAW his spouse. The land in question was to be held by David and Megerete and their lawful heirs, whom failing by any of David's heirs whatsoever. RMS, 1424-1513: 956
