Margaret was born in Elisenau, which is a small rural community included in the town of Barvin. Barvin is now part of Poland and has been re-named Barwino. The Protestants from Barvin belonged to the parish in Bartin, so her baptism would have been performed there. From Meyers Orts: Elisenau is a Vorwerk (Residence or Farm). Barvin is a Dorf und Rittergut (Village and Landed Estate). |
