Margaret was the daughter of Daniel Sr. and Margaret (Peggy) (Fluckey) Miner. She married Harvey SLoan 18 Aug 1848 in Morrow Co, Ohio. Later, she married Marshall Maxwell on 16 June 1870 in Morrow Co, Ohio. Margaret had no children of her own but helped raise her step-children and one niece who was an orphan.

She is buried beside her second husband in the Bethel Cemetery in Morrow Co, Ohio.
