The Last Will and Testament of her son John

John Stewart, here treated, made his last will and testament on 11 August 1627, at Paisley in Renfrewshire, Scotland. He nominated and appointed his brother Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall and Ardgowan to be his only executor and intromitter with his goods and gear. He left a number of legacies, including one thousand merks to his bastard son Matthew Stewart and a liferent drawn on the same to Matthew's mother Margaret Snodgrass He also left five hundred merks to his brother Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall and Ardgowan He also left thirteen hundred merks to Jonet Wallace and Agnes Wallace to be divided equally between them, and an annuity drawn from the same to their mother and his Margaret Stewart Confirmation was granted to Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall and Ardgowan on 6 December 1627. Her Testament Dative and Inventory

Mathew Wallace of Dundonald gave up the testament dative and inventory of his deceased wife Margaret Stewart on 4 November 1629. He did so in name and behalf of Annabell Wallace and Marie Wallace their lawful daughters Matthew Wallace of Dundonald and his son James Wallace of Dundonald acted themselves as cautioners for Annabell Wallace and Marie Wallace and confirmation was granted to them on 29 April 1630.
