Margaret Chidiocke is the daughter of Sir John Chidiocke, 6th Lord FitzPayn and Katherine Lumley.1 She married, firstly, William Stourton, 2nd Baron Stourton, son of John Stourton, 1st Baron Stourton and Marjory Wadham, before 1478.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Cheyne, 1st and last Lord Cheyne, son of John Cheyne and Eleanor Shottisbrooke, before 1479.1

    From before March 1478, her married name became Stourton.1 From before 1479, her married name became Cheyne.1

"Chester, between whom the second moiety of Westbury Manor was divided in equal half shares. The wife of Sir Edmund Cheyne, the grandson, was Alice Stafford, sister to Sir William Stafford, who was husband of Catherine, one of the two coheiresses of Sir John Chidiock, and Katherine Lumley, his wife, while Sir John Cheyne, who acted as Patron of Stourton in 1489, is shewn already to have married Catherine's sister, Margaret Chidiock, the widow of William, second Lord Stourton.

The Arundells had two connections with the Stourtons. In the 15th century Margaret Chideock, the sister and coheir of the Katherine Chideock who married John Arundell VI, married Sir William Stourton. In the 16th century Sir John Arundell IX married (by August 1560) Ann, the daughter of Thomas Stanley, Earl of Derby, and the widow of Charles Lord Stourton who was executed in 1557."
