About Margaret Tracy

V. SIR THOMAS THROCKMORTON, his eldest son and heir, married Margaret Ordney, and had issue. One of their daughters, Margaret, married Sir William Tracy, of Toddington. (Burke's Extinct, Forfeited, and Dormant Baronetcies.) Note. — In June, 1682, Sir William Throckmorton, ninth in descent from Sir Thomas Throckmorton and his wife, Margaret Ordney, fell in a duel, & the Title became extinct. (1)

By his wife Margaret, daughter of Sir Thomas Throckmorton, William Tracy had issue two sons, William and Richard. William, the elder, inherited the Toddington estates, and was great-grandfather of Sir John Tracy, in 1642–3 created Baron and Viscount Tracy of Rathcoole in the peerage of Ireland. Robert Tracy, the judge, was younger son of the second viscount.[2] The peerage became extinct on the death of Henry Leigh Tracy, eighth viscount, on 29 April 1797. (2)
