WRB also shows parents as Johan Leyky and Anna, probably a reference to #146132 and #146133. She is mentioned in a note for Margaretha Sawatzky (b. 29 Aug 1829) #35383 on p. B10 of the Bergthal Gemeinde Buch as being Margaretha Sawatzky's daughter. This would suggest that she was an illegitimate daughter of Margaretha Sawatzky since this page lists the family of Kornelius Sawatzky (b. 3 Jan 1806) #156772 and illegitimate children were generally mentioned on the family page for their mother's parents. Comments added next to her entries in the 1878 Chortitzer Gemeinde Buch, p. A334 and p. B91, both state that she was born illegitimately, as does the 1858 Bergthal Colony Census. In the West Reserve Bergthal Church Register No. 1 on p. 175 and 342 her father's name is given as Johann Leiki and her birth date is given as Dec 1847. 1901 Canada census also says she was born Dec 1847. Her birth date as given on p. B10 of the Bergthal Gemeinde Buch is difficult to read and might be read as 28 Jan 1849 rather than 28 Jun 1849. One record says she died 13 Apr 1900, but she is in 1901 census with husband Jacob Martens. Shown there with birth date Dec 1847, age 53.
