Margery Rose

Robert Rose married (1) By about 1619 Margery _____. (Her maiden name was not Everard & there is no reason to believe that she died on Long Island). I’m finding several matches with aMargery Buckle as in the merge that I have thought correct (FMH).

They had ten children: John, Robert, Elizabeth Taintor, Mary ____ (apparently married with children, when named in her father's will), Samuel, Sarah, Daniel, Dorcas Swain, Jonathan, & Hannah.

Savage's entry for this immigrant muddles records for the father and son. In 1983, Christine Rose published a comprehensive study of the Descendants of Robert Rose of Wethersfield and Branford, Connecticut, Who Came on the Ship "Francis" in 1634 from Ipswich, England [San Jose, California, 1983].

My records had Margery Everard GS9B-S99 with parents of Jack Everard and Agnes Mannock. This record shows her with a different father. Who is Jack? Was that a nickname?

!NOTES: Margaret age 40, came with her husband Richard and their children to New England in 1634 on board the "Francis" from Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Margery doesn't seem to have had any more children other than the 8 they brought with them. She died before 1664-5 when her husband md2) Elizabeth the widow of two husbands, first widow of John Potter and 2nd the widow of Edward Parker.
