Margery Evelyn Settle

"In the list of tenants for 1678 is shown "Widow Settle". Also, "Widow Settle had the third part of her husband's copyhold estate paid to her in money over Forty years". Since John Settle died in Potterton 1622-23, Margery his widow would be the recipient of the estate over the 40 year period. The following is a partial list of manorial tenants, Potterton, about 1630:
