Margie Melton Couch was the daughter of Dan Melton and Rebecca Lowe Melton. She married A.B. Couch, son of Wootson Couch and Mary Couch.

Obituary for Margie Lee Couch

Margie Lee Couch, 83, a 25 year resident of West Alexandria, was born May 12, 1932 in Hazard, KY, to parents Dan & Becky (Lowe) Melton. She went home to be with her Lord on February 4, 2016. Margie was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon. She loved to go for long walks when she was younger and able, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grand babies. Her favorite hobby was playing gin rummy and the board game Aggravation, and was a fanatical fan of the Miami Dolphins. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband A. B. Couch: sons Fletius and Jerry Couch: daughters Barbara Sue Couch and Carolyn Scroghan: and 4 great grand babies: also 4 brothers Earl, Langley, Lawrence and Matt Melton: and 1 sister Lucy Oliver.

She is survived by 1 sister Nancy Bryant of Upper Sandusky, OH: son Danny Couch of West Alexandria: 4 daughters Karie (Jeannie) & Chris Sampson of Brookville; Mary & Jeffrey Riddle of Miamisburg; Deborah Baker of West Alexandria; and Rosezetta Lloyd of Englewood: 21 grand babies, 43 great grand babies and 6 great great grand babies.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial Preble Memory Gardens.
