Alford B. 'A.B.' Couch was the son of Wootson Couch and Mary Couch. He was first married to Anna Marie Garret who he met in Michigan. A.B. and Anna Marie had one child Jerry Bruce Couch. They divorced. A.B. had a second son, Fleetus S. Couch with Norma Louise Campbell in Perry co. but they did not marry. He then met his 2nd wife, Margie Melton, daughter of Dan Melton and Rebecca Lowe of Brownsfork. They were married in 1954. They were the parents of Carolyn, Karie Jean, Barbara Sue, Mary L., Danny, Deborah K. and Rosezetta Couch. A.B. served both in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force.
