Margie, founder and owner of the hand made sheepskin slipper business, Margie's Comfies, was attacked in her home at her farm outside East London on 12th November 2022. She was transferred to hospital and sadly passed away two weeks later.
The perpetrator is allegedly a man that had worked for her on the farm for only five months. She was strangled and suffocated with a pillow, and left for dead.

Margie and her Comfies have attended the Grahamstown (now called Makhanda) National Arts Festival and the Bathurst Show for about 23 consecutive years and will frequently been seen around the East London area markets."
