Marguerite Fern Buckley

Marguerite F. Buckley, 82, of 551 S. Ferry died at 10:20 p.m. May 5, 1987, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. She was born Sept. 19, 1904, in Lancaster to Frank and Elva Beall Jacobs. She was a member of Davis Street Christian Church.

She married Frank Buckley on Dec. 14, 1922, in Delta. He died in 1971. She was survived by two sons, Max E. of Newton and Roger G. of Ottumwa ; a daughter, Elva Lou Warner of Davenport; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dean Jacobs of Ottumwa; and a sister, Mildred Crull of Columbus Junction.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Locke in 1960.

The service was to be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Davis Street Christian Church, the Revs. Cecil Simonton of Davis Street Christian Church and Ray Barnett of First Christian Church of Newton officiating.
