Biography
:Marguerite Cormier was born about 1706 to parents Alexis Cormier and Marie LeBlanc. She was likely born in Beaubassin as her parents were found there in the 1698 Census. On August 18 1722 in Beaubassin she married Pierre Arsenau, son of Pierre Arsenau and and Marie-Anne Boudrot.<ref>http://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/oocihm.lac_reel_c1207/12?r=0&s=5</ref> By 1734, the couple had settled in Malpeque Ile Saint-Jean, now Prince Edward Island. <ref>Stephen A. White, "DICTIONNAIRE GENEALOGIQUE DES FAMILLES ACADIENNES"; 1636-1714; Moncton, New Brunswick, Centre d'Etudes Acadiennes, 1999, 2 vols.; p. 405. She died before the 1752 census.</ref>Marguerite died sometime before the 1752 census as her husband is listed as a widower. <ref>1752 Census
