About Marguerite Norine Overton
General Information: She preferred to be called Norine. She was 5' 2" with fair skin, wavy auburn/red hair and beautiful bright blue eyes. She tended to be matronly, although she became quite thin once the symptoms of Huntington's Disease (HD) developed. That disease is genetic and hereditary. It causes a deterioration of the muscular/motor control. It is incurable and always fatal. She was warm and generous and active. She cared for her younger brothers and sisters when her own mother began to decline with HD, and was virtually a mother to her youngest brother Don. She loved music and had a lovely soprano voice. She attended the Baptist church. The only things she never lost in the progress of the disease were her bright eyes and her lovely hair, which never showed a hint of grey.
