Marianne Elsbeth,Auguste,Margar... Johanne Böttger

Lived in Hildesheim Germany until 1933. Fiancé died in aircrash with his twin brother. Left Germany as times were difficult.Travelled by ship to South West Africa to take up a Kindergarten Post at the Lutheran Church Kindergarten in town & arrived January 1934. Huge floods & couldn't get to Windhoek as the Swakopmund R. was flooding - took weeks to get there.

Met Piet playing tennis - she was German Junior Ladies' champion. Married in Dec 1935
