Obituary:
"Mrs. Timecourt A. Viator, nee Alida Hulin, a resident of this city [New Iberia] for nearly a century, died at her residence on Saturday, Sept. 18, at the ripe old age of 99 years.

Daughter of the late Clarville Hulin and Mrs. Daisy Hulin, early pioneer families, she saw her native Parish of St. Martin divided and the creation of the new Parish of Iberia. She lived to see New Iberia, the parish seat, grow from a village with a few dwellings into the community it now is. Unusually alert, both mentally and physically, the deceased had always shown a great interest in the affairs of her family and the community.

Largely attended funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m., from the Berges Funeral Home in this city, with religious rites at the St. Peter's Catholic Church of which she had been a lifelong member. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Rene Viator, and five daughters, Mrs. Sam LeBlanc, Mrs. John Gonzales, Mrs. Jack Bernard, and Mrs. Joseph Cordova, all of New Iberia, and Mrs. A. H. St. Martin of Jennings. There are also 47 living grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren, and 18 great, great grandchildren." ["The Weekly Iberian", Sept. 22, 1943]
