Marie (Cyr) Daigle, 89, of Madawaska, ME., died Tuesday (Nov. 24, 1998). She was the widow of Alphonse Daigle. Born on May 30, 1909, in Madawaska, she was the daughter of Adolphe and Gerturde (Marquis) Cyr. She was a communicant of St. David Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Daughters of Isabella Circle No. 546 of Madawaska. She is survived by a son, Leonard Daigle of Newington; five daughters and their husbands, Doris and Paul Noel; Candide and Harold Sedlik, all of West Hartford; Albertine and Jim Riley of Nevada City, CA.; Germaine and Paul Cormier of Bangor, ME.; Joanne and Robert Parent of Windsor; two brothers, Octave Cyr and Lucien Cyr, both of Madawaska; four sisters, Eva Morin of Limestone, ME.; Anna Roy of Frenchville, ME.; Lucienne Michaud of Hartford; and Yvette Pelletier of West Hartford; 20 grandchildren; Michael Daigle, Carl Daigle, Gail Daigle Cyr, all of Newington; Janice Noel Montano, Jacqueline Noel Wolski, Janet Noel Zaleski, and Brian Noel, all of West Hartford; Karen Noel Freda of Gales Ferry; Patricia Riley King, Sheila Riley Parker, and John Riley, all of California; Lisa Cormier Gadoury, Sharon Cormier Fessenden, and Monica Cormier Patterson, all of Maine; Teresa Parent Babon of Plantsville; Cynthia Parent Kilduff of South Windsor; Julie Daigle Madore of Marlborough; Denise Daigle Schroll, Karen Perron Agnew and Lisa Perron Garrison, all of Manchester; 22 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Albert Daigle and Joseph Leo Daigle; a brother, Henri Cyr; and a sister, Annie Cote. Her family received friends and relatives at the Daigle Funeral Home in Madawaska. Funeral services were held November 28th at the St. David Church. Interment was in the Parish Cemetery.
