Marie Dorothy McMahon

Marie first lived with Frank Krumveida and family in Canistota, McCook County, SD; she later lived in Tyler, MN, with Christine Mikkelsen (her father's sister) and family. According to information from Jørn Frost-Knudsen in package of genealogical information received 30 JUN 2000, Marie Dorothy did not feel comfortable with the Krumvieda's (relatives of her grandmother, Alvina Gosch). While with the Mikkelsens, Marie Dorothy attended the Danebod Folk School with her cousins, Signe and Kristina. Marie Dorothy and her sister Alvina eventually went back to Iowa to find work. In Iowa, she met her husband, Joseph McMahon.
