From the book "Genealogy of the French families of the Detroit River Region 1701-1936", Vol 1 & 2, Author Rev. Fr. Christian Denissen The book states that "bride from South Coast of Detroit groom from Detroit River for a few years before m Rev. Simple Bocquet of Ste. Anne, Detroit made arrangements with Rev. P. Potier S.J. the missionary of the Hurons at Sandwich to marry the couple at the Church of the Hurons "was due to the difficulty and risk of the river." (Records of Ste. Anne)
Marie Louisa was married on 11 May 1767 at the Church Of The Huron Mission, Sandwich but the husband's name is not listed.
