It is only a possibility, but it has not been proven that, Marie Bourgeois is the unknown spouse of Germain Doucet.

There are two scenarios for Germain's to be a brother-in-law to Jacques Bourgeois: 1. Germain's second wife was a Bourgeois or 2. She was sister to Jacques wife (a Doucet). But Jacques was only 16 when originally coming to Acadia, and was not married at the time. There is no specific evidence of Jacques siblings.
