Published – The Faribault Daily Newspaper - Faribault, MN - September 30, 1958, LONSDALE (Special) The Rev. C. C. Jirik was celebrant, the Rev. Alton H. Scheid, deacon and the Rev. John Gengler was subdeacon at the Solemn Requiem High Mass offered at the Immaculate Conception Church at Lonsdale on Monday, September 15, at 9;30 a.m. for Mrs. Mary Nohava, 63. Mrs. Nohava, the former Mary Malecha, died at her home in Lonsdale on Friday morning September 12. She had been to ill health for the past twelve weeks. Mrs. Nohava was born in Lonsdale on February 13, 1895, the daughter of Mrs. Mary R. Malecha, who resides at Montgomery and the late Wencl Malecha. She was married to Frank J. Nohava at the Immaculate Conception Church at Lonsdale. Her husband passed away in 1952. Surviving Mrs. Nohava are thirteen children, William Nohava, Francis Nohava and Miss Magdalen Nohava, all of Lonsdale; Sister M. Yvonne (Lillian) of St. Michael; Sister M. Lillian (Rose) of Owatonna; Sister M. Francella (Therese) of Marystown; Sister M. Rose Mary (Mary) of Mankato; Mrs. Thomas HInks (Agnes) and John Nohava of Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Henry Mamer (Josephine) of New Prague; Mrs. Aeired Frank (Catherine) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Mrs. Roy Washa (Julia) of Montgomery and Mrs. Edwin Tupa (Leona) of Webster. She was preceded in death by two sons, John and Francis. Brothers and sisters surviving Mrs. Nohava are Frank Malecha of Montgomery, Cyril Malecha of Ohio, Victor Malecha of Faribault, Mrs. Laudie Malecha (Nellie) of Lonsdale, Mrs. Wencl Krenik (Margaret) of Ottawa, Mrs. August Malecha (Agnes) of Waseca and Mrs. Emil Malecha (Christine) of Minneapolis. Pallbearers for the funeral were grandsons, Jerry and Billy Nohava; Henry Mamer, Jr.; Leo Malecha; Alois Malecha and Robert Kucera. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary Society and members of the American Legion Auxiliary attended the funeral in a body.
