These 16 arpents front for 320 acres of land superficial measure, No. 616, sold to Jean Marie Pitre 5 arpents front, for $400.00, to depth, bound above by land of Marie Rose Menould and below by 2 arpents remaining to her, and numbered # 7, on the plot filed at family meeting. Witnessed by Ambroise Dugas and Henry S. Thibodaux.
      • 11 October 1823: Jean Marie Pitre alias Campo sold land to Henry S. Thibodaux to wit a certain tract of land adjoining the land of Thomas Fitch on Bayou Terrebonne and below Bayou Cannes, by reference to the office of the land claims # 259. Witnessed by Ambroise Dugas and Bernard E. Hains.
      • 14 Januray 1824: Marie Rose, widow Pierre Menould exchanged land with Jean Marie Pitre to wit; 1 Arpent fronting both sides of Bayou Terrebonne ajoining the upper boundry of said Jean Marie Pitre, said Arpent bounded above by land of Verdon, exchanged for 1 Arpent of the land Jean Marie Pitre purchased of her, by deed dated October 11, 1823 # 152, fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth certificate of confirmation calls for. Witnessed by John Mc Henry and Ambroise Dugas.
      • 28 November 1827: Widow Pierre Menou released Jean Marie Pitre for sale dated October 11, 1823 No. 152. Witnessed by L. B. Thibodaux and Jh. Delaporte. Signed by Marie Rose Lejeune, widow Pierre Menou and Judge Leufroy Barras.
      • 21 April 1835: Jean Marie Pitre declared he sold, ceded, abandoned, conveyed and delivered to Henri Hoffman a certain piece of land, for $160.00, paid cash in hand, land situated about sixteen miles from Thibodauxville, containing one arpent front on right bank of Bayou Terrebonne, with a depth of four arpents, bounded above by land of the vendor and below by the public road, which leads to Bayou Grand Caillou, being portion of a larger quantity bought from widow Pierre Menou, who acquired land in division of the estate of Pierre Menou, her husband. Witnessed by William Shaffer and Alexander Sargent.
