Marie Therese Smith

Marie(Ma to her friends and family) grew up through the depression in Sydney. As a very attractive 19 year-old she married the hansome Army Officer Bernie in 1942 during World War 2. Bernie was soon posted overseas and Marie shared aflat in Bondi with her sister Patricia. Ma was a wonderful sister, wife .mother and grandmother .Her life evolved around her church, her husband Bernie and her family and friends.

She had a good sense of humour and some very funny expressions which were somewhat risque'( "you old crack!")She had a great love of all her seven children , their spouses and her grandchildren.

As a mother of seven, throughout her life she was an exceptionally selfless and loving person.

She suffered (in silence) bad health for some years before she died. She lived to see the first of her great grandchildren( Isaac).
