About Marie Sophie Sylow von Westen Hartmann
Sophie Hartmann was the chairman of Kongsberg Handicrafts Association (Kongsberg Ladies Association) from 1889 and for 42 years. In association, she made great efforts in social areas and got for his efforts the King's Medal of Merit in gold.
She was chairman of the board of Kongsberg woman, where she later became an honorary member for his efforts. She was in the Church Authority and parish councils and she was a member of the council and the presidency for 15 years. She was the first woman in Kongsberg, city council, it happened in 1901.
