MARILYN HILTON Wife of Hilton Hotels Chairman Barron Hilton, passes away at 76 Beverly Hills, California, March 12, 2004 - Marilyn Hilton passed away after a long illness. Mrs. Hilton, who lived virtually her entire life in the Los Angeles area and was noted for her many philanthropic and charitable endeavors, was born Marilyn June Hawley, and was the daughter of Della and George Hawley of Los Angeles. She was graduated from St. Monica's High School in 1947. Marilyn and Barron Hilton had been married for 56 years. Mrs. Hilton had served as President of Las Floristas, Inc., and was actively involved with a number of other charitable organizations including the Los Angeles Orphanage Guild; WAIF, Inc.; the Assistance League of California; St. John's Hospital & Health Care Center; the John Tracy Clinic, and the Pacific Multiple Sclerosis Research Foundation. Mrs. Hilton was a Dame for the Order of St. Gregory the Gre at, granted by Pope John Paul II> In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hilton is survived by the Hiltons' eight children, William Barron, Jr., Hawley Anne McAuliffe, Steve, David, Sheri Thibaut, Richard, Daniel and Ronald; and fifteen grandchildren.
