6 July 1752: Declaration by Sir Hew Dalrymple that he desires that payment of two bills paid by deceased Sir Robert Dalrymple, his father, for James Dalrymple, merchant in Northberwick, and captain John Dalrymple, his uncles, should not be asked, provided that they reclaim, by means of lord Drumore, a wager relating to a marriage signed at instance of MRS. MARION HAMILTON, LORD DRUMORE'S DAUGHTER, [wife of Archibald Hamilton of Dalzell,] by said Sir Hew; with the bills NRS: GD110/631 They are reported to have married on 29 March 1732.
