About Marion Maddison
A quiet wedding was solemnised at St Mary's Church on Saturday last (St Peter's Day), the contracting parties being Mr Charles J Maddison of Germiston (brother to Miss Maddison of Potchefstroom), and Miss Marion Marshall of Ferryhill, Durham, England. The day began with the Holy Communion at 7, the marriage following at 8.30. The Rector (Rev. E.J. Tyser) officiated, and afterwards delivered a brief address to the newly married couple. The bride (who arrived from England on the previous day) was attired in a beautiful dress of white silk, with embroidered chiffon yoke and sleeves. She wore a veil and carried a magnificent bouquet. Mr and Mrs Maddison left by the 10.15 train for their home at Germiston.
