About Marshall Noah McKusick
He was a Lt. in the 6th Bat. Light Artillery, Maine, from 1862 (enlisted 1861) to the end of the Civil War. He was wounded in 1864 at Cold Harbor, VA.
He taught school, practiced Law and was appointed Postmaster, Calais by Pres. Arthur in 1882. He was elected mayor five times between 1886 and 1907.
