A large group of passengers from Stange, Hedmark, Norway (organized by Poul Poulson) left Christiania (Oslo) on 4 April, 1868 aboard the ship "Atalanta", arriving in Galveston, Texas, USA on 27 May, 1868.
Among the passengers were, Arne Paulsen Hensøe (49yrs), Marthe Andersdatter (44yrs), Knud Arnesen (17yrs), Kirstine Arnesen (12yrs), Anton Arnesen (9yrs) & Anders Arnesen (7yrs).
Waco Times-Herald, 1901 - Fri., Apr. 12 (8-3): Mrs. Martha A. Poulson died yesterday at her residence, 708 South 5th, age 78. A resident since 1869. Arrived from Norway a year earlier. Four children: Knute Poulson, Miss Kate, Anthon and Anders Poulson. Funeral from the residence; burial at Oakwood cemetery, Rev. Rystad of Norse, Bosque county.
