Notes
A bequest of property was left to Martha in her husband's Will. Martha grew aged and infirmed and was no longer able to manage the portion of her husband's estate that was left to her. At this time she proposed to give up her portion of the estate to the legatees of her deceased husband on the condition that they make her secure with an annual support during her life, furnish her with a servant and a horse wherever she may chose to live.
Bond was made to Archer Allen by the legatees to pay their proportionable part of the expense for the care of Martha and her part of the estate was given up to the legatees to be divided between them. It was also agreed that Martha would live with Archer Allen at his residence. The legatees making the bond were:
Edward Scruggs
Samuel Allen
William Daniel
John Muse
Robert Easley
William Towne
Judith Murray, whose husband, Richard, was deceased
Elizabeth Jefferson, whose husband, Peter Field Jefferson, was deceased
Chancery suit was filed against Archer Allen for full distribution of Martha's portion of her husband's estate by Edward Scruggs, William Daniel, John Muse, Robert Easley and William Townes, who each were married to a daughter of Samuel and Martha, and Samuel Allen, Elizabeth Jefferson and Judith Murray. A summons was issued to Archer Allen to appear on 11 Feb 1797. Martha was still living at this time but had died after an order was entered in the chancery suit. The date for this order appears to have been before 1804. An order was later entered which ordered interest be payable from 14 Mar 1804 to the estate of Archer Allen for amounts due to from Edward Scruggs, William Townes, the estate of Richard Murray, the estate of Robert Easley and Samuel Allen and payment was ordered to Wm Daniel, administrator of Wm Daniel, dec'd, Tom Muse, executor of John Muse, and Elizabeth Jefferson.[1]

perhaps conflating the Martha Field Archer who married Robertson with a Martha "Patty" Field (Archer) Allen? The profile does not mention Robertson, and it has her born/married in Cumberland County, Virginia but no mention of Cumberland in text.
