Mrs. Mattie P. Baugh Dies This Morning At Daughter's Home Mrs. Mattie P. Baugh, 86, lifelong resident of Arkansas, member of well known Grant County family, widow of late James M. Baugh, died at 6 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Era Waymack, 2613 West Pullen street, (Pine Bluff, Ark.) Mrs. Baugh became ill on November 20 and her condition had been regarded as serious since. A native of Grant county, she was born in Sheridan on April 28, 1860, daughter of the late Simpson and Elizabeth (Gregory) Rhoden, pioneer Arkansas residents. Mrs. Baugh spent her girlhood in Grant county, where she continued to reside until coming to Pine Bluff in 1925. She was married to Mr. Baugh in Sheridan on September 30, 1877. Mr. Baugh died here on November 19, 1929. Mrs. Baugh had been a member of the Baptist Church since childhood. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Era Waymack of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. Etta Young of Sheridan; three sons, John M. Baugh, of Joe Q. Cook & Son, Inc., and J. D. Baugh, who operated a grocery, 700 West Pullen street, and N. E. Baugh, of Sheridan; 22 grandchildren including the children of Mrs. Waymack with whom Mrs. Baugh made her home, Herman Waymack, Homer Waymack, Miss Jimmie Waymack and Mrs. Irene Lusby of Pine Bluff and Louis Adams of Sheridan; 37 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives. Among the survivors is a granddaughter, Miss Dovie Donham of Panama City, Fla., whom Mrs. Baugh reared. Miss Donham is a daughter of the late Mrs. A. A. Donham, Mrs. Baugh's eldest daughter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Center Camp Church, near Sheridan in charge of Rev. Conrad Glover. Burial will be on the family lot in Center Camp cemetery with arrangements in charge of Ralph Robinson and Son mortuary. Active pallbearers will be C. D. Buckley, Sylvester Soffer, Carl Lee, Voy A. Hope, Ralph Ellis, and David White of Sheridan. Honorary pallbearers will be George Ray, Dr. C. B. Capel, Dr. Havis T. Capel, John Gill, W. M. Wells, Fred Kinser, E. R. Harris and Dean White and Arthur Faukner of Sheridan. Mrs. Baugh will be at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Waymack, 2613 West Pullen street until Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
