COURIER-JOURNAL OBITUARY, LOUISVILLE, KY - 07/24/2011. BROWN, MARTHA (MULHALL), 84, born on May 8, 1927, died peacefully in her sleep on July 18, 2011. Martha was the wife of Robert S. Brown, who died on March 27, 2010. Those who went before her included her beloved husband of 64 years; her parents William T. and Nora R. Mulhall (Henson); her baby brother, Donald and brothers, David and Alan Mulhall.
Martha graduated from Atherton High School, class of 1945. She was active in theatres on Sanibel Island, FL where she and husband lived seasonally for over 25 years. Martha was the volunteer coordinator at the Old School House Theatre and the Wood Theatre, and was an active volunteer at the Florida Repertory Theatre. In Louisville, she volunteered at the Pandora Theatre and Bunburry Theatres. Martha was a member of LGS and was an active community volunteer for numerous charity organizations. Martha and her Bob travelled extensively throughout the world (33 countries), spreading kindness and happiness where ever they went. Bob and Martha's ashes will be mixed together and buried at Calvary Cemetery, together in life for 64 years and together in death forever. A funeral Mass at St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church will be held at 10 a.m. on October 8, 2011. An Irish wake to celebrate the lives of Martha and Bob will be held afterwards, location to be announced.
