About Martha Daniels
FindAGrave.com Profile: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=6382529
In the Spring of 1885, Lewis and Martha, with some of their Newton, Boone and Marion County neighbors, joined a 60-wagon train for a six month trip across the plains to Idaho. Some of these people went on to Washington, Oregon and California, but many of the Newton County people returned to the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Lewis and Martha Daniels and their family were among those returning the following Spring. Two of their daughters, Lurinda E. and Satira Emiline spent the rest of their lives in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.
Military Service: in the Autumn of 1994, a Civil War marker was placed on Lewis Daniels' gravesite, next to Martha Casey Daniels, in the Buffalo Cemetery, Newton County Arkansas.
