Obituary
Unidentified Newsclipping - 1880
GUNN.--Mrs. Martha Gunn died in Guilford, Chenango Co., NY, March 17, 1880, aged 77 years. Sister Gunn was born in Stafford, Tollard Co., CT, June 4, 1802. For over fifty years she has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Union, Mt. Upton Charge. For many years a widow and childless, she often expressed a desire to be released from the life that now is, that in the life to come she might greet the loved ones in that blissful clime. Her last illness was of short duration. Attacked with heart apoplexy, the wheels of life began to stay their motion. A few hours passed and her cherished hopes were reached; she was not, for God had taken her. Her testimony given upon the Sabbath previous to her death was positive and hopeful.
