Martha Carolyn Kelly, 91, of Richmond, Ind., died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Sycamore Springs Rehabilitation Center in Liberty, Ind.

Born May 29, 1919, near Camden in Preble County, Ohio, to Arthur Stubbs and Alma Reese LaMar, she moved to Richmond in 1951. Martha was a 1938 graduate of Camden High School in Ohio. She retired from Reid Hospital in Richmond after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, her pets, taking care of her yard, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her son, Donald Kelly and wife Sandra of Liberty, Ind.; daughter, Dr. Loretta Packchanian of Galveston, Texas; grandchildren, Brian Kelly and wife Melinda, and Tabitha Byrd and husband Douglas, both of Liberty; great-grandchildren, Dustin Grimes, Christopher and Brandon Kelly, Ryan, Kelly and David Byrd; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Kelly, who died in 1985; her parents; son-in-law, Dr. Arthur "Pack" Packchanian; sister, Helen Oldfather of Eaton, Ohio; and brother, William LaMar of Liberty, and Gordon LaMar of Camden.

There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Doan & Mills Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge of arrangements.
