Hi Jeff, Yes, and your dad's Aunt Martha McKeown(Prang) was my grandmother. I recall (vaguely, lol) my mother Evelyn Miller(McKeown) telling about her Uncle Julius Prang living on Mound rd. in Warren, but the entire area is a large auto factory these day. It has been since before I was born, apparently, My mother kept very close ties with the Prang side of my family. I grew up knowing them more and seeing them more often than any other of my family lineage. I learned the word Kashube at an early age! lol. Aunt Rose, Helen and Ann visited us often. George Prang and Rose Gipperich(Prang) stood up in my parents wedding. Although my mother was born to Martha McKeown(Prang) she was raised from the age of about 2 yr by her Aunt Clara Malak(Prang) and Joseph Malak, at 11387 Rivard (I also grew up at this address). Almost across the street from her actual parent's and 5 siblings. My mother Evelyn contracted Polio at that early age and I believe that medical issue created the situation to have her Aunt Clara and Uncle Joseph raise her, since they had no children of their own they could offer a little more personal care that was required. I thought I might explain a bit of this because it all ties into what your dad was saying about where everyone lived, such as Martha and Clara. Also because census records will indicate my mother as living with Joseph and Clara and not with her parents Harry and Martha. Which leads to confusion.
What was fun and exciting to me from the very beginning of my involvement with the AncestryDNA profile was finding the photos of Joseph and Francisca Pranga that I believe you posted on the profile pages. I knew right away that I had both of those photos. It took some time to find them, but I did! I think they are a reproduction from the 40's by George Prang based on the information on the back of both images. I thought I would share this with you so here they are attached to this letter.
I apologize for the long letter. I found myself having so much to say and wanting to expand upon. But I tried to hold back and offer snippets of many related details.
Sincerely Larry Miller
