My information for William and Martha Pleasant Parker is in "The Heritage of Transylvania County, NC" book Vol 2, 2008. She is mentioned in two articles in that book as Martha Pleasant Parker- William owned property in the Gloucester section of Transylvania County, NC - There is a creek called Parker Mill Creek and a Parker Mountain- they are believed to be buried in McCall Cemetery in the Silversteen community of Gloucester, not far from the old home place. It also states that in the 1820 federal census they were listed and lived in the part of Gloucester which was located in Haywood County, NC at that time. They had six boys and five girls. One article was submitted by Joe James Parker, Pisgah Forest, NC and the other by Lynda Galloway Fitch, Morganton, NC.* Reference: Find A Grave Memorial - SmartCopy: Mar 21 2024, 17:05:33 UTC
