- Mister Pakana (Frank Spencer) of Waimea, Hawaii had been in a weak and sickly state for some time now, and he had returned here to stay with his daughter, Mrs Fanny Bickerton. It was late Wednesday night when his breath became greatly labored at his daughter's place of residence outside of Waikiki,
- His wife and children arrived here on the steamship Helene on Friday morning, however, upon their arrival, he had already passed. The last church assembly for him will be held this next Thursday, and via the steamship Kinau next Friday will be returned to be buried at his home in Waimea, the place which he so loved. His body has been embalmed.
