About Martin Meehan
Settled around Boston, after serving with the Army went out west. As part of the plan to settle the west, the government gave soldiers 150 acres of land. Martin accepted his in Nebraska but must have sold it later as he ended up in Idaho. He was a bugler in the Army, and his bugle is/was at some point on display in the City Hall of Coeur d'Alene. Never married or had children, when he died a small sum was divided up between his nieces and nephews.
