Mary Chapin was born at Braintree, Massachusetts on August 27, 1662, daughter of Josiah and Mary (King) Chapin. [1] [2]

She married Joseph Adams Jr. at Braintree in 1682. Joseph was born there on December 10, 1654, son of Joseph and Abigail (Baxter) Adams. [1] [3]

They had two daughters, Mary and Abigail. [3]

Mary Adams died at Braintree on June 14, 1687. [1] [3]

After Mary's death, Joseph married for his second wife, Hannah Bass. [3]

1. Mary born February 6, 1682/3; married Ephraim Jones of Braintree on April 1, 1714.[1] [3]
2. Abigail born February 17, 1684 [1]; died at Mendon on Apr. 28, 1722 [4]; married Seth Chapin Jr. of Mendon. [3]
