About Mary Caroline Alsop
Mary Alsop Oliver, daughter of Francis Johonnot Oliver and the former Miss Mary Caroline Alsop, was born in the bounds of Boston, Massachusetts on February 12th 1815. She was named after her older sister, Mary Caroline, who died in infancy.
On October 25th 1837, young Mary married a distant cousin, Joseph Wright Alsop, Jr.
