Mary Sheldon was born in 1669 in South Kingston, Washington, Rhode Island. Her parents were John Sheldon and Joan Vincent.
She married Stephen Arnold on January 12, 1688.

Mary died on 28 April 1735[1] in Providence, Rhode Island.
Her will is dated 31 March 1725/26 and proved on 23 May 1735 [2] Her date of death is recorded in the heading of her inventory which was taken on 16 May 1735.[2] Her two daughters, Penelope Sheldon and Lurana Remington were made executors.
