Theophilus married by say 1589 to Mary Newce [2][3] After the death of Theophilus, Mary (Newce) Aylmer married, as her 2nd, to John Rowe, gent, of Bishops Stortford.[2]

Theophilus was buried on 11 January 1625/6 at St Margaret's in the Close, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.[2]
Theophilus left an undated will which was probated on 28 January 1625/6.[2] He made his wife Mary sole executrix (to whom he left the lease on property called the Lodge), sons John, Theophilus, Samuel and Tobell; daughters: Jane, Elizabeth, Mary Boothe, Judith Hone, and Cicely Floude. He also mentioned his brother Zachary Ailmer. Witnesses: Edmund Aylmer, Robert Lowe.[2]
Research Notes
Note that the Lincolnshire Pedigrees ... (1902) does not agree with the article by Hatcher (2013), in number of children. The Pedigrees report only eight children, while Hatcher reports fifteen. Only one name is uncertain, the youngest is called Amhill in the Pedigrees and Vubell (or Tobell) by Hatcher.
