Mary Lorraine Baas-Wynia

Wynia (Stahl), Mary Mary L. Baas-Wynia, age 71, went to be with her Lord, Friday, August 4, 2017. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted Baas. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of ten years, Ron Wynia; her children, Brenda (Al) Van Den Berg, Darin Lee Baas, Melanie Joy Baas (Tony Perez); her granddaughter, Sydnee Marya; Ron's children, Ronda (Sherwin) Van Sledright, Mark (Sue) Wynia, Suanne (Jason) Sytsma; Ron's grandchildren, Brad (Kendra) Van Sledright, Kari (Lance) DeYoung, Krista Van Sledright, Anna Van Sledright, Kayla Wynia, Mitch Wynia, Matt Wynia, Taylor Sytsma, Jackson Sytsma; her brothers, Henry (Carole) Stahl, Ivan (Ruth) Stahl; and many relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary made care packages for the Criminal Justice Chaplaincy. She enjoyed raising Monarch butterflies, working in her flower gardens, and fishing with Ron. Mary loved to travel and spend time with her family. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 8 at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 7730 Eastern Ave. SE, Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM, at the church. Pastor Bob Boersma and Pastor JB Wernlund will officiate. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In honor of Mary, contributions may be made to Grand Rapids Right to Life or Food for the Hungry in Phoenix, Arizona.
