Samuel and Ann's deaths are not recorded in the Amesbury Vital records, however, administration of the estate of Samuel Barnard, late of Amesbury deceased intestate, was granted to his widow Ann Barnard on 23 January 1748[/9]. The estate was inventoried on 13 February 1748/9 and his widow was present. In addition to the normal household goods and farm tools and stock there was also listed a loom and weaving implements.[4] Administration of the balance of the estate was later granted to Capt. Jonathan Barnard of Amesbury on 25 December 1752.[5] He then presented an accounting of the estate on 2 August 1756, in which is mentioned £80 to "the widow for necesaries." Jonathan is named as Samuel's son in his accounting. The estate was again inventoried on 12 July 1756.[6]
