Mrs. Mary Benson, Chicago, Dies at 91

Mrs. Mary Denman Benson, 91, a former Bloomington resident, died at her home in Chicago at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday as a result of injuries received in a fall some three weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian Church in Carlock.

Mrs. Benson was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Denham and was born in White Oak Township. Her father, a pioneer of McLean County, came from Ohio to White Oak Township in 1830. After her marriage, Mrs. Benson lived in Colfax and then removed to Bloomington, where she and her husband lived for a number of years. Later the family removed to Chicago. The husband died about 10 years ago.

Mrs. Benson is survived by five children: Miss Lucy Benson, Mrs. May King. Mrs. Helen Walker and roy Benson, all of Chicago, and James R. Benson of St. Louis.
